[ebay] [NSW] Volvo Repco head and Pistons for B20
This collection is a museum piece and part of motorsport history.
It was an excellent performance option in its day - which was 50 years ago.
These days, nobody would bother building a Repco Volvo B20 for performance when there are other Volvo engines available with greater power potential, and which are permissible to modify and fit under most motorsport sanctioning body rules. In classes where complete freedom of cylinder head is allowed, and which would permit a Repco Volvo head to be used, there is also freedom of cylinder block from the same manufacturer as long as the replacement block retains the same number of pots.
On that basis, a 16v DOHC redblock is a far better proposition.
Using the virgin Repco Volvo parts for assembling a performance engine today would diminish their financial value.

John Keran & Peter Myers won the Rothman Southern Cross Rally in 1968 in a 142 fitted with this cylinder head and daylight was second. I believe and will chase up some more proof if anyone wants
I want. :) The competition history of the 140 isn't often spoken about, and this kind of win ought to be.william;134527 wroteI believe and will chase up some more proof if anyone wants
I will try to locate some info this weekend but just to add something more the 1968 London to Sydney rally at least two of the Volvos had Repco heads and were fitted by Volvo in Sweeden and they were not to happy as they prepared all the Volvos with the rest with works engines and by the figures stated in the article the Repco motors produced 30hp more
These are just a few I have found, I hope you find them interesting:

Anyone got suggestions on where I can get some pistons made to match my Repco head?
Custom made. I can put you onto the last person who had a set made. The major issue is you need set the compression before building anything.Roinik;c-141050 wroteAnyone got suggestions on where I can get some pistons made to match my Repco head?
Its been sold this head so someone splashed out some money
I'm aware of a person who owns a Repco head setup including the original pistons, I don't know how willing they would be to allow them to be taken away and copied though. Perhaps a suitable security deposit could make it happen.
