Not sure about the late 164, I'll check mine on the weekend if I get time. I think the bulkhead fitting may be slightly different, but I think this will either fit directly, or with minimal modification to the hole.

I believe @paul0075 fitted one from a 240 to his 144 with the same firewall as your car.

I am assuming that means one can be fitted.

@Dauntless I am interested in sway bars but I think I'll leave them and other large items out of this group buy as it will complicate things.

I had no issues fitting a genuine 240 one on my 74 140 but had to add washers to the screws as the 240 one is a bit narrower because it’s a different shape to the 140 one

Well these ones may or may not work, you could use a formed rubber hose in place of a hardline bend, or you could modify this with an additional stainless bend, but very much caveat emptor.

Marine spec 240. Better install some Penta parts.
