This car may have been sold in the last 12 months as I thought I'd seen it before. There's no mention of a turbo, did they release a non-turbo model?

Lots of warning lights on according to the ad but I don't know whether they indicate big $$ of not.

Engine number is B5244T1744968 - This will be a 2.4 LPT so might be less desirable to some.

I think - hopefully someone will jump in and correct me if I'm wrong - '97 and '98 cars were T5 (high pressure turbo) models, whereas this one is essentially a 'T'

If you're still interested after it being an LPT convertible, it might be worth a look.
I'd get more info on which dash lights are on before discounting it.

eg. my project has the following lights on at the moment, but none are a concern (to me)
ABS/TRACS - needs an ABS module. easy fix. not expensive. its on the list, I'll do it when it gets to the top.
SRS - no actual fault in my case. Needs to be reset by a dealer though. Not possible with ODBII reader though.
Lamba light - Possible MAF issue. Havent diagnosed it yet. Came on after several cold starts with only seconds of running between them and a nearly flat battery. Slow cranking & over fuelling might be the cause. Will try the reset procedure and reassess when I have time.

2.4LPT is more desirable to a tuner as has arguably a better base to tune with larger turbo. Will run closer to the ragged edge when you do this however. Low down power curve is about the same as a T5, less power/torque above 6k rpm or so.

I'm on the fence about that one actually, mostly from a desire for repeatable/reliable power.
But I've read enough about people preferring this route.

Ask Matty P , he had one , the lady I got my Canisto C70 wheels from , they both say the most horrible driving experience ....Rattle n shake.
Stiffer front subframe is good but still not good enough. Incidently , that subframe is a good swap into our V70s indeed Robs C70 too , because of the strengthened subframe , I will try n find a picture.
My LPT and its 100cc plus higher compression ratio equal epic low down torque with a tune compared to my old S70T5 with a tune and exhaust but yes smaller turbo is out of puff when the T5 is coming on strong. I like both but!! So I am putting 16/18 or 19T on my LPT motor , the tune made for bigger turbo , exhaust , intake , light weight crank pulley and bigger injectors , it runs preety rich ATM as its still stock with just the ECU upgrade but pulls like a diesel down low!!
