All 900 series with solid rear axle from 93 year model got the 75 litre fuel tank, this includes 940 sedan, 940 wagon & 960 wagon. To convert your 740T to the 75 litre fuel tank you'll need the fuel tank, filler pipe, fuel delivery & return hoses. Compared to the earlier 60 litre fuel tank, the delivery & return hoses for the 75 litre fuel tank follows the floor pan more closely to create more room for the larger fuel tank. Fuel tank sender is different on 93 model onwards but both fuel tanks are the same depth so you should be able to just use the original fuel tank sender from the 60 litre tank.
93 year model is built from 7/92 I think... best way is to check the VIN & if the model year designation is a P or later then it's 93 or later. Otherwise look at the auto gear lever, if it's the rounded more ergonomic type then it's 93 or later.
