I bought a saab.
Im looking for some oe 3 spoke wheels.
Pcd 4x108
I have been looking for saab forum without avail.
Regards Ian

I had a black manual
One of these and 16inch aero wheels off a 9000 , looked epic and my favourite ever car I’ve owned
ASV in Sydney

Any other wrecker

Check eBay use “rims” to search rather than wheels

Also contact saabserve.com in Sydney and ask them to look out for you they may know of or have items on consignment

The 9000 aero rims are called super aero they are 16” and designed for a 205 55 16 tyre; the 900 3 spoke aero rims are 15” the spoke has a volute shape and designed for 195 65 15 tyres which should be what you have on those 5 spoke rims which were 9000 special issue late 1995

If you want catalogue or brochures pix let me know but I’m in us until wed.

I’m on Volvo no 8 but I’ve had 2 9000 Saab’s (15 years / 300000km) and a 74 900 got a little while

Mate black would be awesome ? i love the dark colours on older saabs. The paint on mine is like new, the interior is a light beige colour but still reasonable. I was impressed by the drivability of this old car. The 16valve seems pretty solid and the gearbox is a good match. It was local and the right price so i went for it. Has only 178,xxx kms

Thank you for that helpful feedback. I will be sure to investigate those leads ? I was unaware that those are saab wheels i have on it! They dont look very ‘saaby’ to me. Yes i have had numerous volvos and i have always wanted a saab 900 convertible for some fun. Completely unorthodox design!!
The thing that screws me is the 4x108 pcd. I am not completely set on saab wheels, although i like to keep thing original equipment. I could get adaptors and go some gold mesh wheels. That would be epic

Saab forums are quieter these days but resources are amazing. Far better than Volvo for tutorials etc in my experience.

Saab Central
Saab Link
Saab world

All brilliant forums in their height.

You’ll find Saab alloys come up, the Super Aeros you probably want are 800+ these days.

I’ve had 5, but not a classic 900 yet, sadly!

Awesome. Thanks. I will add those to my growing list of saab resources!! Yeah i dont think i can justify spending $800 on wheels (considering it already has wheels) ? But yeah just putting my feelers out there. I would be happy with th basic 3 spoke wheels you see on cabrios. The classic 900 is perfect for me. Simple enough to get my head around and looks great.
Cheers Pastry!

Ps. Was that you who found that blue manual wagon? I have been looking at those for a while aswell. Amazing looking car. Its one of the few new saabs that appeal to me
Fwiw. Tyre size is not an actual issue, but it may be a

What does tyre size have to do with rims on different cars if they bolt up? You just run the size that suits the car it's on.

So go for the 16s and run smaller ratio tyres to suit the c900. It doesn't hurt them. Though the profiles match for going up a size rim.

The post 89 cars are great because of the handbrake at the rear, with bigger don't brakes and 9000 stud pattern.
Don't like ragtops, do like 900s!

Looks to be in fantastic shape, nice score

Cheers mate. Yeah the rag tops can go shitty. This one is not too bad. Has a few cracks from being creased. Im going to get it reconditioned. Aside from that the motor works fine. I also like the sedan 900s such a cool silloutte. I bought this specifically because its convertible though. I already have my beloved 940 ?
One cool thing was a space saver in the boot with 5x108 stud pattern. Perfect to lighten up the 940
@iceton1975 is big into SAAB now, may have leads on stuff, just like he has on volvos maybe!
From what I've seen so far he's got..

900 vert
9-3 Monte Carlo
9-3 Viggen (in bad shape)

Yes @vo940 - I got lucky with that cheap (nearly free!) 9-5. Thread here. It was a lucky buy and has gone well for the last 4k ish, but it really needs some time spending on it now, rear suspension has sagged massively, it spots a bit of oil (pan or maybe an oil seal), it blew a coupe of vac hoses lately and wife reported something that sounds like ABS module on the way out. And it needs some general love aesthetically. So, cheap is always cheap for a reason..

And unfortunately I spent up fixing the XC90! So this will be a slow game..

I can see why you want to change the wheels. There should be plenty of those more everyday 3-spokes around, I don't think they're rare at all. And everyone wants Super Aero's.

Try Steve @ SaabSalvage in Sydney, otherwise I always hear good things about JB Prestige in Melbourne - he's usually happy to chat so might also be able to point you the right way.
Hi thanks for the replies everyone! I have found a set of steelies for the saab im going to paint black (paint it black and put it back) with chrome dressings.

Otherwise i might buy these set of 4 and local.

Saab is currently in the shop leaks transmission fluid from the gear selector and engine oil at the distubutor.

Also im going to patch up some cracks in the roof with poly glue and canvas patches.

Mark has everything good aarrrgghhhhhh ?✌️
gee, go get those lovely Aero!

I just missed out on this car yesterday:

$500!

It must've sold quick, I tried calling 3hrs after it was listed on Gumtree. Yes, I bet @iceton1975 bought it ;)
