Today whilst driving my car lost power briefly, and the Lambda Sond light came on. The car is now running fine, however the light is still on so something is up. I am just trying to figure out the best way of troubleshooting. I know the light is for emission control so exhaust and intake but not sure where to start with troubleshooting and finding a solution? Air mass meter, cat converter, intake manifold issue.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Sorry, should specify, its a 1990 240 with stock b230f but we recently (about a month ago) swapped in a K cam, not sure if it has anything to do with the issue?
Sounds like it is the o2 sensor. Brickboard tech faq should be able to help.

My old wagon would do something similar at random when going uphill.

@A_Volvo_Driver Scott, did you ever get it sorted?

No, it happened so infrequently that I didn't bother. It would scare the shit out of me when it would happen, as my first instinct was to think that the car was dying.

Joe had the car after me, but I don't think that he drove it. The Lambda Sond light was always on on that car.

I didn't end up working on or driving Scott's wagon, just wrecked it. So I'm no help!
Possible causes on LH2.4 car would be O2 sensor, TPS (I have a known good one if you need it) or MAS meter.
From a cost point of view, I would hope it is a TPS.

I replaced the O2 sensor on mine but experienced the same issue again and turned out to be the TPS.
