  • 240 740 760 small radiator 940 drop in Intercooler Interest / group buy

I will volunteer a test vehicle .. :D
11 days later
water to air....AWESOME, i had that on my RS liberty.
is tube and fin not a more effective set up over bar and plate. the theory is that the shape of the tube and fin, allows the air to flow cleanly through the fins channeled over the tube, rather than the bar and plate, creates a turbulence on the edge before passing through the fins. disrupting flow, affecting cooling of any radiators, oil coolers etc behind it.
Id like a radiator build like this. Instead of the other plastic side crap they sell. Wonder how much longer they would last than the OEM. They sure does look perdy.
given that they are manufactured by the same people you find most after market IC made by. i wouldnt see why they couldnt last longer than a factory NEW ic. i have one on order. keen as to get it all together with the new turbo, cam, injectors, ecu.
Jay,what i meant was a radiator,NOT an IC.:-) Look flashy on my 240.
okies. totally over looked the 4th word in your post. sorry.
how ever on that subject im currently running an all alloy radiator. (have a new spare plastic in case shit goes wrong) all i can say is get a high quality brand. this is the second "gulpher" branded radiator ive had. first was on the ford ute. and it blew with in a month. (no i didnt purchase a second, nor did i get a replacement or my money back. this is mostly due to the seller not ever taking my calls. or getting back to my emails. etc.

so the latest car i purchased has one of these in it. and although it hasn't blown, it has weeped from day dot.

so get a quality brand with high QC or local manufacturer with good warranty.
+1 on using a stock nissens coolant radiator. The intercooler is needed to be upgraded to go with increased boost levels and less heatsoak.

These still for sale? if so ill take one
Thanks Jay. When I have confirmation of the delivery I will start taking orders.
I think Alex should just build a rack to slot them into the back of the wagon. Rock up to all the meets.
