What year? All the early cars are virtually same as the other cars barring the steering rack and rear track. You could fit Sachs dampers and std ride height...

CC seems a bit extreme and the nivomats in the rear have absolutely no issues. It's just that the front subframe crashes over everything on the shit roads around here. I'm really at a loss on what the issue could be, if the suspension is at the correct height. Once I get the oil cooler fixed and pray that nothing's gone bad, maybe I can bring it for someone to look at.

It's the stiffening and aluminium bushes in the subframe, lower height and less strength in the body. You won't notice it in a v70 but consider what your v70 feels like over rough, its no camry! So taking the roof and body off the top really makes them a billiard smooth road cruiser it seems.

Once bought some c70 wheels off a woman, she got the c70 for the wind in the hair thing, just divorced an all. She absolutely hated the rough, crashing ride, just like you describe it maybe.

The spec sheet for a 2004 C70 (and also for 1999 ones) has the arch to centre as follows:

Vertical Measurement wheel centre to top of wheel arch opening at unladen mass: F 390mm. R 390mm
Vertical Measurement wheel centre to top of wheel arch opening at full bump: F 296mm, R 291mm
Minimum acceptable vertical measurement wheel centre to top of wheel arch F 370mm, R 370mm

The CPA Number is 11796-562889, or you can find via:
Post-1999 RVD > Car > Volvo > 7

From your numbers earlier. 35cm to 36cm it would appear that your car is 3-4 cm under the vertical measurement and 1-2cm under minimum measurement. I wouldn't call this way to low. I would be looking for other worn bushes etc to fix your problem.

Well I got some new standard s70 springs today, also when I changed struts I noticed that there were no bump stops so I got some of those too, also got an oil cooler, so wish me luck!

bump stops...Mine got chewed out from all the inner city speed bumps and would bottom out the shocks.

Well hopefully these help cushion the ride as well as the taller front springs. I'm kinda hoping the nivomats will help keep the car level. Also bad mark for volvo for making its oil cooler numbers disappear with degreaser. Got the right one though.

I fitted a set of standard V70 front springs to My mother's convertible. Ride height was exactly the same.

If anything I'm hoping it'll just soften and raise the suspension enough to make it a comfy turbo auto open top boat
