familyman;120819 wroteNot sure if I'm understanding correctly what you mean, but it looks to me more like the two front seats are pushed all the way back + tilted back as well, thus giving the appearance of little legroom in the back. Look at the seat belt pillar position... the top bolt was slightly behind my shoulder when my front seats were in the driving position. Also, you can see plenty of floor in the driver seat photo. If I were driving my 70s 244s with the seats in that position, I wouldn't have been able to reach the gear shift. Third, the rear wheel arches (inside the car) seem to be in the correct position compared to the seat (sticking into the sides of the passenger's backs).
Usually the early 245 seat squab is noticeably further back than that in a factory fitment. I expect it's a later model seat.
