My brother has alerted me to a fairly intact orange '77 245DL currently at Pick-A-Part in Campbellfield, B21E engine, BW35 auto trans, brown cloth interior.
If anybody is planning to head out there, I'm interested in getting hold of the LHF guard and the front door trims for my own 245, which is the same colour combo.

According to their site, there are two '85 740's, and a '90 740 at Campbellfield, and an '86 740 at Kilsyth, all sedans.
There is also a '92 940 and a '93 940 at Kilsyth, both sedans, and a '97 960 sedan at campbellfield. My brother reports that the 960 is pretty thoroughly stripped out.

If I can get down their I will, guards aren't the easiest things for me to get off, but if I can make it down their on Monday then I will,I've got a car to get ready for registration and a few other things to get done :), unfortunetally of course I can't make any promises but (if) I manage to get over there ill get them off for Angus meanwhile if someone else is heading over there before me I'd suggest them getting the guards for him ;)

I'm only after the left guard, and only if it's in very good shape, in terms of not only no rust/no dents, but also paint condition. I have plenty of 240 guards, but the attraction behind this one is that it's the same colour as my car, so I could bolt it straight on.
I'm also keen on getting the front door trims, though they're not essential as I got a decent pair from Joe a while back, so they would just be spares.
If you do manage to make it down there and have time to grab them, I'd be very grateful, my only other option for getting them is if my father and brother can be bothered heading back out there.

It turns out my father is actually going to go back there tomorrow, so I'm going to get him to check those parts out for me while he's there.
Joe, I can get him to grab the grille for you while he's there as well, if you want? I'm not sure on what it'll cost, or when I'll next be in Geelong, but I'm happy to keep it here for as long as needed, if you do want it. I think their price list is online these days.
Same goes for the roof racks, although they look pretty cheap and crappy to me in the pic.

Yeah your probably right about the racks Angus, the front looks a bit shabby on closer inspection.
I'll take the grille but I'm in no hurry for it, the metal sash on mine is dented up, this one looks like an improvement.

My father and brother are out there now, they've grabbed the grille for you Joe, apparently it looks great apart from two missing lower pins, but that's easy to fix. They've grabbed a couple of bits for me, but the guard and door trims are no better than mine as it turns out, so they've left them.
Apparently the dash is very good with only one fairly small crack, so if anybody is looking for one it might be worth heading out there.

I'm from the broadmeadows area, but I'm glad you ended up getting someone to go, as I've got a few family issues at the moment that require trying to fix, so i probably wouldnt of made it there today, I was going to get the drivers side panel off the silver volvo 740 but I haven't got the time to go there so ill have to get mine re clear coated ;)

No worries, no great urgency as far as I'm concerned, once Dad gives it to me I'll know exactly what the cost is (cost for a large grille is about $50 from Pick-A-Part, but he was going to try to talk them down a bit due to the missing pins, not sure how he went with that tactic), and we'll go from there.
Or, if you're in a hurry for it, and you travel to Melbourne, he lives on the western side of the city so you could probably pick it up from him directly.
