Time flies when you're having fun - I can't believe I haven't posted an update in 6 months!
In fairness I haven't had a heap to post about on the Volvo. I had a little distraction though as I bought myself an old car that I've always wanted! It's a 1969 VW Notchback Type 3 and I love it. I am resisting the temptation to play with that until the Volvo is done, so through to Christmas this year it will be year of the Volvo!
So where is it at I hear you ask? Well it's currently at Lupica motors to get the For Focus RS Clutch and flywheel upgrade that I bought from Dreamscience installed and I'm getting the Haldex system flushed out and filter replaced as well since the car has 80,000kms on it now. I should get the car back tonight. I can't wait as I've been driving around on a broken clutch for nearly 18 months so I'm looking forward to being able to put all the power down without it slipping!
In other news I've still got a stack of parts sitting there waiting to go on. Air intake, snaab pipe, porsche throttle body, Do88 intercooler.... I had a go at installing the snaab intake pipe but the clearances were so tight I was struggling to get it in place (I'm not sure if the clearance is reduced because it's RHD instead of LHD as designed for in it's domestic market?). I've since had some tips on getting it into position but I haven't had time to play around with it. I might just give the lot to my mechanic and just get it done or I'll probably still be looking at the parts sitting around for another 6 months....
