just joined up, Ive owned a 2006 xc70 for a couple of years & its been a great car.
Sold it last week to buy another XC70 - this time a 2008 LE with 140,000 kms.

Only thing I want to do to it at the moment, is get rid of the stock 18" rims and get some 17's or even 16's if i can find some in the right spec.




Not 100% there is a 16 that will clear the front brakes. Looks like a great car! Welcome!
no worries egads, i thought the brakes on the 06 xc70 were the same as the 08, but yeah I will probably go for 17's to be safe.

its only the 3.2 straight 6 but the power is definitely adequate & knowing there's no timing belt to be bothered with like my old XC is just awesome.
I think the low down acceleration of these cars is really dulled by the 6 speed transmission shifting up at ~2500 rpm, Im going to try manually shifting it one day, but out on the highway I had no problem overtaking cars in the 110+ zones.
does anyone know if the 'Dynaudio' stereo system is standard in these cars?
How can i check if mine has it?

The stereo certainly sounds amazing to me but thats all I know.
it is a shame you are in WA, i would buy those wheels off you.
yeah, I wouldnt be asking much for them, but its the tires that are worth a bit & I cant use them if I go to 17's.

Does this look like dynaudio? Has the separate graphic equaliser for front and rear
why do you want to go back to 17's?
This car came with 18's (LE spec) & the 06 xc70 I just sold had 16's - I think i would prefer a slight increase in comfort 17's might give thats all.
