*EDIT* - SOLD!
I'll put this here in case anyone has an interest ... I doubt it, but I've not got around to putting it on Gumtree yet ... :)
Selling for Mum, we bought it from Brookvale Subaru 6 months old & with ~5k kms on it as an ex-Subaru employee/exec car, so it's almost "one owner". It was Mum's car until some Bankstown Tool wrote-off Dad's Maxima in '08, and they bought a new car for Mum and Dad started using the Liberty.
Only selling because "deceased estate". It's in Mum's name though, so no headfuck with stat-decs or anything like that for me.
I think it'd be a perfect station car (I'd replace the radio but everything like aircon works fine), I'd have kept it myself if I didn't already have one more car than I need.
The Good:
- only ~200k kms (193k)
- always been reliable
- paint's actually not as bad as I thought it might be (old skool washing methods with sponges grinding-in grit for 20yrs, and IMHO no polishing or waxing for the last 10 at least)
- interior's really pretty good overall (exceptions in The Bad)
- still surprisingly rattle free
- NSW rego until mid June 2018
The Bad (I have photos of most of these, attached below)
- it has ~200k kms
- the trim above the driver's legs (under the dash) hangs down, suspect a broken clip could be replaced but too lazy to fix it
- there's a tear in the trim at the top of the driver's door - maybe too many years of leaning on it?
- the outer thigh-support of the driver's seat is a bit flattened, and the cloth looks a bit worn
- either the radio or the aerial is a bit munted - as it has poor reception, the electric aerial is stuck in the up position but doubt that's the cause
- he left the door ajar & reversed quickly outta the garage, so the door flung open & hit the garage-door track - putting a sizeable dent in the upper trailing-edge of the driver's door
- the rear bumper has been "touch parked" a few times by the look of it, it's scratched & the sides bulge a bit (haven't investigated to see if that's fixable - the Ovlov just has clips there which could be unattached)
- a surprising number of stone chips on the bonnet (it's not buckled or anything though, it's just ajar in the photos below) - it's not a country car
- OMFG the K-Mart hubcaps are awful!! But the originals kept falling off, at least these stay on even when cracked (kinda wish they didn't ...)
- it isn't a wagon
That's all I can think of that you'd want to know.
As long as the image-adding works, photos below (I captured most of The Bad, and added some general photos too).
