AshDVS Hi all, I've bought something on ebay (stereo equipment - not a huge box). If the seller is unwilling to ship, would anyone mind picking up and sending it on to me? You'd be in my good graces, I'd reimburse you for freight/postage and fix you up with a little somethin'-somethin' for your efforts.
Philia_Bear Also Im headed down to melb in 2 weeks and happy to meet you in melbs to save shipping for you
Massey165 Hi Ash, Will be in Baulkham Hills next Friday30/6. Can pick up and store at Castle Hill as long as you need.
AshDVS Thanks gents, I'll update once I hear from the seller. I'm happy to pay for freight if the seller will do it - it's just a moderately sized box This is what will be in it -
Slowbrick VolvoHordz;111442 wroteI travel through there to get to/from work so could easily grab it if required. Don't trust him. He will steal it.
AshDVS Minidisc is kool. I had a Minidisc head unit in my 240 (cos back in 2001, it really was the next awesome thing!) and still have a fair bit of music on minidisc. I'll combine this with a receiver that talks DLNA and be fairly set.
Slowbrick I had two DAT recording units in my garage for some reason. Ended up giving them away to a nice guy who was setting up a recording studio in his house. One of them took what looked like a VHS cassette and the other one looked like a giant floppy disk. Was kind of cool but useless to me.
AshDVS Hilariously, I have debated getting a single DIN adaptor and fitting the MD headunit into the Focus.
nickm MD is a compressed format any FLAC file will be as good. Pono even better DAT is 48 Khz sample rate non compressed format only using only one style of tape. ADAT is a different form again for multi-track recording. Any piece of music you listen to produced in the 90's will have generally been mastered to DAT.
AshDVS Thanks for the offers all. As it turns out, the seller is a great bloke and very happy to post. Many thanks again, very much appreciated.
