Who is running 8.5 inch rims on a 940?

Yeah from the reviews I saw they're the best ones...but I think I can live with my incandescent lights for a while longer before I spring for those!

Hmm, if you don't want to use spacers and don't want to hack your guards, I would say there really aren't that many wheels available for the 2 & 7 series unless you want OEM used 14s, 15s, or rarer 16s, or even rarer Polaris. There's a few aftermarket 16s and 17s available, and of course the Eikers and those eBay "Retrolites"...but what else?

Thats my issue exactly, don't want to run spacers. Otherwise I would have gotten a set of XR5 Turbo wheels on the cheap ages ago.

Sorry for bumping a 8 yr old thread, anyone running a 17x8.5 front 17x9.5 rear ? Found a set of cheap Simmons FR-1 ET15 with 5x108 bolt pattern (can only assume they came off some RWD Volvo as well), but wondering if they fit under a 940 without too much bashing (guard rolling be fine).

Geez. 8 year old thread. Making me feel old.

17x8.5+15 on the front will be close to the strut if not touching (also depending on what suspension you're running).

9.5 +15 on the back will be through the guards depending on how low you are.

nugget_940 thanks mate, so yeah 8.5 / 9.5 won't fit, will go and have a suss anyway.
