morgan What are people's general thoughts on a 1992 960 wagon 3.0 24v ? Nice and smooth I presume ? How would a manual conversion go ? Are there any performance upgrades available? 150kw standard is nice but what are they capable of ? Within a reasonable budget
deleted_user_160 Yeah, beyond most of ours no doubt. Though the potential is there. T5+1cylinder. Only good things. :D Also IRS so can get that great stance thing going on. If a facelift model, they do look ace. And a Toyota housing pattern. So easy swap for good gearboxes.
Chris I have driven a 960 sedan with nivomats. Very smooth, soft luxo barge. I really liked it's laid back feel.
DCW242 What colour is it? 92' 960 wagons are very rare. we looked at a white one in Melbourne years ago, but ended up buying a 740Turbo wagon. Factory manuals were never offer here, some overseas models were available in manual and used an M90 gearbox, you might be able to import the parts to do a manual conversion.

gavinh blondejay;108937 wrote Interested! Other Toyota boxes, my Aw30-40 has water damage. Was wondering about the Isuzu trooper/ Holden jackaroo manual box????
deleted_user_160 No idea on those boxes. It's my understanding that the volvo auto, is the same belhousing pattern as the R and W series boxes.
