Should I trade my 240 for a T5

Swapping one in is a bit annoying as they have antitheft fasteners but if you are handy you can do it.

I could never figure it out. Sometimes I had to pull over and restart the car just to get some lights happening. Mind of its own!

Alrighty so I had a look at the T5 in question in person today. Seemed pretty clean. Radiator looks good, CV boots were good, the interior is pretty clean. It runs and drives really smoothly and pulls well. No out of the normal clunks or rattles surprisingly.

Do the glove on the oil dipstick, shows if pcv needs done.

I own a bunch of 240s and a P80 850R, and the 240 in 5-speed is definitely the better option. If you were buying an R I'd understand.

Remember also when you buy a P80 you need an extra $2000 available to fix it. "but it doesn't need anything" yes it does, wait and see!

^unless you have documentation that proves wear items were fixed in the past year or so.
Even then, front strut top and lca bushes and drop links will need done.

And this is what I meant about the not willing to turbo the 240 because of cost. The 850 will cost more...

Same goes for most 240s - it's just that we excuse the numerous faults in 240s because they're old, and because we mostly buy them as toy/project cars.
And because most of us are more willing to tackle stuff on RWD cars.
