It's really handy, I use it a lot. I probably should paint it again.

And a warranty that covers the winch getting wet (unlike Warn)
Wow. How can a winch warranty not cover it getting wet?
That is amazing! Thanks for the read @PaddlerEd

This weekend's work:
Set of used springs fitted (medium duty, probably EFS)
Bud's Customs extended shackles
Terrain tamer fixed pins
Superior Engineering U bolt plates

Height is almost identical to before. Ride, suspension travel and clearance under the springs are greatly improved.

I still need to finish shortening the U bolts, and pump some more grease into the bushes. The shocks are stopping the springs reaching full droop now, so I'll need to measure up and order longer shocks. I'll need to arrange some 3" longer brake lines first.

Dobinson C59-256 springs, 3" lift w/ 100kg constant load
Partsman Comp Rods +20mm radius arms
Roadsafe adjustable panhard rod.

The R151F gearbox failed. It began by popping out of 1st gear, and by later that day 1st gear was unusable and 3rd had a very loud whine and very bad backlash.

Current plan is to use the H150F from the wreck. Need to find out which reverse switch is required, and order it. Thinking about rebuilding it. Haven't decided which way to go, however I think it feels OK by hand so I'm tempted to run it as is.

Floor plate for shifters needs to be changed to suit. I'm thinking I'll remove the old one for now, and have the new one fitted by a panel beater when the rusty foot well is repaired. VDJ79 shifters will be used.

I would prefer an NPC 1300Nm clutch and billet flywheel, however it's beyond the budget at the moment. The existing 275mm clutch and flywheel didn't seem to have any issues, so I'm tempted to run the 300mm flywheel and Exedy HD pressure plate from the 1HD-T with a new disc.

This brings me to my next point. This is probably an ideal time for an engine swap.

The 1HD-T should only need a timing belt, water pump and big end bearings. I can reuse the 1HZ valve cover and timing cover, and all ancillaries as far as I know.

The 1HD-FTE would be a better engine, though it needs a lot more work. It will require a timing belt and water pump, big end bearings, injection lines, valve cover, timing covers, the 1HD-T injector pump, and probably some things I haven't considered.

A local diesel mechanic and Cruiser nut has offered to rebuild the H150F if I supply the parts, in exchange for taking the R151F. Trying to work the 1HD-T into the deal.
