Probably time to seperate the club registration discussion into a separate thread, unless it is related to this meet.
Here is just a thread -

Please contribute as you see fit if you have anything of value to add.

Can you pull more out of this thread Ash?
AshDVS
Yup. I've summoned one of the others to help move some content.
If your posts aren't in the new Club Rego thread yet, they will be seen. Fear not.

I just checked wotif and they've got 3 1/2 star to 4 star motels from $85. Lastminute has them from $72. Trivago from $85. Booking.com has them from $85 too. I personally like the Parkview Motor Inn, particularly the large car park shown in their photo's, price for two nights 12 Sept - 14 Sept is $170. I'm not sure what sort of budget everyone is on because some of you guys will have to travel an extra night or two to get there. I'm hoping to do the trip up from Canberra on Friday 12th and leave for home on Sunday 14th.
Ben
That's not a bad idea. I just glanced at the map and hadn't realised it's a 4hr drive from Canberra - staying 2 nights is a good idea.
I'll most likely be bring a large, low-sided trailer too.
AshDVS
Why the trailer?
Ben
As this will probably be one big parts meet, there's the opportunity for the ACT guys to use it while driving their own classics. If Angus is coming up he might bring some panels with him which won't fit in the Aurion.

Coachman is smack bang in the middle of town. Looks a big dingy, though. The one I was looking at was the Station Motel which is a few minutes away but looks pretty nice and has a nice straight carpark for the lining up of cars.

OldnDecrepit
Yes the Station looks good, especially if we can get a bulk discount.
Edit: Wrong motel!
AshDVS
Station Motel will likely be my preference. Having a desk will likely be handy, etc too.
Looks clean and neat.
At this stage, I'm about 90% sure I'm coming and it looks like I might even get to bring the V70.

I will be driving to Melbourne on the 12th and stay for the night. Maybe cruise up to Parkes earlier morning with people driving up from Melbourne on the 13th. Anyone cruising up to Parkes from Melbourne on the 13th ?
AshDVS
Where are you coming from @calvintibia001 ?
I'd likely head up on the morning of the 12th
calvintibia001
I will be leaving Adelaide to Melbourne on the 12th (Friday) and then stay at Melbourne for the night, so i will be driving up to Parkes on Saturday.
Well I could drive to Melbourne at night of 11th, if most people are arriving early at Parkes
egads
Why via Melb? Pretty big detour.
Dauntless
For sure. Adelaide to Parkes would be easily doable in one day.
calvintibia001
yeah true, but I can't drive non-stop, I need to stop and sleep somewhere in the middle, I got friends at Melbourne, so i could sleep at their place.
But yeah, I agree that via Melb will add 4 hrs to my trip

It's a 12 hours drive, so it is doable, depends what time people plan to arrive. And i prefer to have a sleep to break up that drive.
