I've had a few Saab's but not a c900 – one is forever on my list but may fall foul to my slightly greater desire to own something Lancia. Nearly bought a silver Aero a couple of years ago for $1250, and should have – it was a steal and worth 4k even then. Now probably 6-8.
My grandad had one though, and think that's where I got the love..
I started out with a 5-door 2.3i 900 Talladega, which I loved despite the lack of a turbo.
This 1999 9-3 was my project over about 5 years, which I finally sold in February.
I'd pretty much maxed out bolt-on mods other than a few bits of poly and a brace here and there, was 154hp from factory and about 260 2 years after I bought it. Fun little thing, flawed chassis but with lots of mods it worked well.
I'd sold this 9-3 V6 Aero a couple of weeks earlier – cracking engine (shhhh I know it's half Holden), slightly poorly mated 'box but great linear delivery. Had it for just a year.
I still have this one, but has spun a bearing so it's in the shed. Oddly it's become my favourite so far, which is why I bought the near-identical Aero.
One of my dream projects is a direct-drive electric c900..
