They all are though....
Spac
What Sam said, pretty much.
I know Chris has put a lot of thought into all of this, so I'm sure there are compromises he had to make, and details that we're missing...
That said, I still think there must be a better location for the oil filter. Maybe run the hoses forward and put it on the LHS of the engine bay, for example.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a heat shield ends up between the turbine housing and the intake manifold.
Vspeed
There are plans for a heat shield. But at the moment I'm focused on getting it running.
I can make alterations later on if need be
The oil filter is in that place because that's where I put it 20 years ago. Back when it was running weber carbs.
Its fits well there.the bonnet hinges have clearance and the lines are out of the way.
Yes it's close to the Turbo housing and if I needs to me moved later on i will look into it.
The goal of the car is to be "spirited' enough to have fun.
Not looking for every HP that can be dragged out of it.
I have had to compromise .. like anything. Design and $$.
But im happy with the end result

Yes, wrap works very well to stop the heat, have it on my cars too. With the exhausts painted.
Vspeed
I went the extra high temperature black on all exhaust side components.

Still not as good as the wrap though, there is a reason truck makers use wraps and shields, not coatings, and I garuntee it's not because of cost, it's because the wraps and shields work very effectively. It's what I've done on my 122, the manifold stays pretty cool as a result.
