Update...
Engine is in and a few more steps completed
custom fitted the HQ radiator after some minor fabricating work thanks to
@Ghettobird. unfortunately there wasn't enough clearance for puller fans so hes fitted a 14" pusher. im hoping that the increased capacity of the radiator should offset this. on a positive note there seems to be enough room to fit a condenser which ill worry about later before summer.
Drive lines complete with a cut and balanced tail shaft overdrive all connected.
Had to have the clutch master cylinder rebuilt
I gave exhaust wrap a shot did a pretty horrendous job at it but hopefully it helps cool the intake charge as theres potential power loss there.
not sure what direction to go with the alternator yet possibly a 940 denso but may have to keep the original type just for the purpose of getting it mobile
another option is vn commodore one and swapping the front casing onto that
