What size 16 inch tyres on a 2 series

What size tyre would we recommend for a 16x7.5 inch rim on a 260

205/45

somewhere around there I would imagine.

You might think about a 215/45/16 too but I dont think its a particularly common size.

225 / 50 16 these are an old Commodore and Falcon size from the early to mid 90's. Maxxis, and Toyo defiantly make them. I just fitted Maxxis 225 50ZR 16 M35 VICTRA and more than happy. these were only $134 each in Perth

Here's a photo of the 225/50/16 on Performance Superlite rims (16x7 with ET12) I had to roll the back edge of the rear arches slightly. If the ET was 20 then this may not need to be done

I used the same tyres in 17" and was happy with them too

It'll depend on wheel offset and ride height.

Don't run 205/55/16 you will tear up money.

These are 16x7.5 corrected et of 15 on the rear and 20 on the front. And it will be quite low.

I dummied one up with a 205/50/16 this afternoon I will have to do a little massaging of the guard lips but apart from that they fit well. I just reckon they look a little tall, might look into the 215/45 option, see what tyre pricing is like.

With 205/45that I now have. I have good enough gap, and no rubbing in or out under load up of the rear. I'm rather low as well.

These are et12. There is enough room to move. Though when you step up the width you will run out of room quickly. And rolling off the guards will be required.

Also 240 diffs are a narrower track.

On my 240 I was running 205/50/16 on a 16x6.5" with an offset of ET11 (ET43 wheel with a 32mm spacer), quite low ride height, adjustable panhard bar.
