at a later date can fit injection and turbo all with standard volvo parts
the M40 is only 4 speed an overdrive box here is 1400 pounds
so M47 5 speed it has to be
will also fit 240 rear axle
Which sump pans have you tried?
Not sure if the AQ171 (marine B230) sump pan is like the B230 car pan.
As
@Vee_Que mentioned, a B20 sump pan will fit on a B230, but the pan will need to be deepened or the oil pump neck will need to be shortened. Using a B20 sump pan with a shortened oil pump on a B230 should not require any crossmember mods, if the engine mounting is done correctly.
Bear in mind also that a 740 engine bay has more width that an Amazon or 140 engine bay - to give you an idea visually of how much wider the Seven's engine bays are, here is a pic of a 140 cross member sitting on top of a 740's front chassis rails.
I have an idea that an Amazon's crossmember is a little bit narrower than the 140 unit, but that's not gospel. Either way, the 700/900 has more engine bay width between the rails than the Amazon or 140.
It's possible to get the OHC engine to sit upright in an Amazon without any hassle, and if you're planning to go turbo, IMHO you're better off doing this, right from the beginning. Why suffer the pain of carbs if you're planning to dump them later? You're best off skipping that carb phase and saving yourself a lot of money.
