I thought all t-5r were manual ?
Im sorry but no, they made Manual and Auto, I believe this would be an extremely rare car in Australia, and very desirable.
All Australian-delivered yellow T5Rs were manual.
There was one special order T5R in Olive green shipped here as an auto, there might be another one or two in black.

Rare? Definitely. T5Rs are becoming rarer, an auto yellow one is obviously quite rare.
Desirable? I'd say it'd be less desirable than an Oz-delivered manual one.

@mark72 , please update to include a price.
Hi Ash, and everyone else,

Really looking for assistance regarding value.

Mark.....

The k's and apparent condition as well as the colour are major plusses but factoring in shipping and other import costs will count against it so you are looking at someone who really wants your exact car. Good T5-Rs and Rs albeit with up to double the K's have been asking around the $5 - 6,000 in Oz. Project more like $2 - 3,000 and absolutely mint examples with low K's, the most desirable colour combinations and manual have asked north of $10,000.

Others will have their views but unfortunately I suspect you would be in the mid range (5-6) for an Oz buyer due to the extra costs, risks and hassles to get it landed and on road plus the fact that most buyers want manual. Maybe worth more to sell it in NZ?
I think i would be looking around $11k which would include shipping.

There's a couple of immaculate manual t5-r manuals for sale here at the moment for around that and I think most people if not all who are interested in this model would only want a manual .
Very nice looking car though . Glws
Thanks Morgan, just wanted to put this out there if any interested. I do realise there was only 28 YELLOW T-5R's sent to Australia back in 1995, not sure how many are left, also 14 blacks and 1 green AUTO. Pretty rare cars if anyone is interested please email me,

Cheers

I'd say that's reasonable. Because it's a yellow T5R, with yellow being the 'hero' colour of the lineup, it'll no doubt go for more than a black or even an olive one as both black and olive green were still available when the T5R became the R.

Best of luck with the sale.

Thanks everyone, This is an extremely reluctant sale so ill give it a couple of weeks and thats it. I wanted one of these when they came out in 95, I was 23, no way I could afford one back then. I pretty much know my cars, and It would be hard to find another in a non thrashed condition. Firstly owned by a Managing Director in Singapore, then sent to NZ puchased by a touring car driver, it was his daily, then purchased by an Estate agent and then a farmer who loved fast cars, I then bought it from him. A nice history i think.
Hi Mark, I'm in Auckland, where are you? How much you want local in NZD?
Rich
Also comes with a lot of original BTCC memorabilia.

Im also going to replace the Cam belt, water pump this next week.
