2004-2008 V70R / S60R brake calipers

Hi, I'm looking for a pair of front brake calipers from a 2004-2008 V70R/S60R to suit 330mm rotors. If anyone has any they want to get rid of let me know. This is for a front brake upgrade on my 740.

Alternatively, if anyone could offer advice on how much I should be paying for these on ebay, that would be great? lol

Looks like the FCP re-manufactured ones work out to be around $630 AUD for a pair delivered.
What would be a decent price to pay for a used pair, not rebuilt? Or would you say FCP is the best way to go?

Check that the FCP ones are not core exchange ones?
But if it is all hunky dory then yes it sounds good!

That price includes the refundable core/exchange fee. So I assume I can still buy without providing an exchange?

You know the 320mm xr5 brake upgrade will basically bolt up and cost half as much, and work just as well if your not making much more than stock hp....

What type of calipers do the 320mm xr5 brakes use?
I estimate I'll have around 350 WHP so braking ability will be pretty important.

Giant single piston sliding types
They are just as overkill on a 350whp 740 as the v70r multi piston

why do you say they are overkill? I assume my 740 weighs more then the S60R and also has more power...

plus I'll be doing more upgrades in the future, so I'm factoring that in as well.

Actually, looks like the S60R is heavier...but that just means I'll be going faster in comparison. Lol

The S60R weighs 500KG more than a 740 if not more

The stock Jumbo brakes on a 940 are fine with 350whp for a DD including up to 20min track sessions
If your talking endurance racing or 30min+ sessions then doing bigger brakes is required

I did say I was wrong...
Although I do appreciate your suggestions and will definitely consider them.

Basically, I know I'll be doing more power upgrades in the future, so want to prepare for that rather than doing a brake upgrade now, and having to upgrade again at a later date.

The xr5 focus callipers with the DVs 850 adaptors need to be 5mm wider to fit the 740, as you only need a 5mm spacer to fit 850 etc callipers.
