Do we have access to a trailer? I'm very interested but need an inspection done. Any Victorian contacts? I could go this weekend.
Brother can visit mother and inspect for me/us!
I have a trailer you can borrow... fairly well out of your way but. :D
Brisbane... haha

I'm pretty keen, I will call the seller tomorrow to ask a few questions, once I figure them out. It does look a good original car and the price is right. The reference to 50 cent rust holes could be an issue, if they're bubbles I'd be happy but holes is another story.

Brisbane? What about that 144s up that way, the red one, do you know about it? The seller wants $3500, Damien is his name I think.
I converted my 244 to manual but was very careful to exactly reproduce the factory manual in every detail.
Rgr. Get details so I can pass them on.
Mother lives in Koo Wee?

It's on gumtree, under Volvo 144 in the search engine, lives in springwood Logan area. Listed as 144s classic?
@beema41 if you're ringing the seller, ask for inspection possibilities, address and contact number...
Actually I did take one shortcut, I didn't use Volvo OE gearbox fluid, instead opting for some Penrite.
The wiper pivot points changed in the very early 1970s. 1972, I think.
It's a RHD vs LHD thing, and I think that "doing the RHD conversion properly" was mandated by ADRs.
