Hey everybody...
I have a question regarding a lockable compartment in front of my shifter. I'm sure it is an original Volvo part.
It appears that the dashboard clock was not available on a US spec car in 1971.
My car has a lockable compartment in front of the shifter, and it looks like the panel that would contain the clock has been removed, and this storage compartment replaces it. I can not find any information on it anywhere, but I have seen photos of another US car with the same compartment.
My question is, if I remove this, can I just pick up a clock an a mount for it, as shown in the picture here?
Also, I have seen this mini-console with a clock in it. What is used to block off the lower part of the dash if something like this is used.
As far as I can see, the clock panel just snaps in place. Is that correct?
