Dauntless If we're talking about off boost performance, they are tuned lean for emissions. A tune can add fuel off boost which will help low end torque and response, and also spool the turbo sooner
Philia_Bear Main issue is that the aw switched to neutral when stopped Then when you go to take off it switches to 2nd Unless you press the throttle to hard then it goes to 1st causing more delay
AlexS The transmission will switch the neutral when stationary then go back into gear once your foot is off the brake. You can test to see if it's this function causing the delay by manually selecting first or second gear and then driving off from a standstill. If the delay/hesitation is reduced or eliminated then you know that its just the transmission ecu delaying the engine until it knows it's back in gear. Has it always had the delay or has it recently become noticeable?

I have one on my T6 and the cost to reflash it for the D5 is about $240. (Or just buy one already D5 of course) It is a good basic upgrade above what P* is but not as comprehensive as a full tune to suit upgrades.

Do you reckon this is the best place to start? I'll do a service at BMG in Feb and then p* tune in March. Is it best to do p* then another tune/box later if I want it or is there another way to approach it? Cheers
Ex850R If you plan to go more than 1st stage go with the European tuners (don't know if Hilton does em) TDI TUNING BOX half price of Polestar. If you go stage 2 then polestar negated so no point.
Ex850R Hop onto T5D5 forum, there's a few guys doing tune maps to suit your needs, all you need is a VIDA and DICE or , vdash n DICE. That way you load your tune yourself , they send a file.
