March is a good time of year in the Canberra and Yass region, when it's a bit cooler but not quite freezing, and would be a good time to take the Volvo's out and stretch their legs.
So as a result, I thought it'd be a good time of the year to organise a cruise.
Yass is halfway between Sydney and the Victorian border and Wee Jasper is nestled in a nice little valley about another hour along a nice windy mountain roads. Narrow in parts and a little rough in small sections, the route passes through some fantastic scenery, and Wee Jasper itself is also very pretty. 5 km is unsealed.
Lunch will be at your own expense at the Duck 'N' Fishes Cafe, which also offers accommodation (along with several other local options, including camping), for those wishing to extend things past an afternoon.

It's all about catching up and checking out each others cars.
Meet at 10 am at Riverbank Park in Yass. RSVP by 10 am 24 March.
You will need to plan ahead, as the general store (and service station) closed some time ago, so you must leave Yass with enough fuel and cash to cover your visit. Phone coverage is patchy at best, if you're lucky to get any. So ensure you have a few spare bits and pieces in case you break down.
