I am wanting to upgrade from the Volvosound to a modern stereo that I have. I am having trouble identifying what the existing stereo wires do.
Can someone please help me identify what each of the following wires are for?
Red, blue/white, black, white/blue, black/yellow, blue, green, yellow, orange.
Thanks in advance :)

I can't help you with wire colours, however if you have a multimeter or test light you'll be able to identify constant power, switched power, and ground.
The wires you have left will be speaker wires, you can trace those pretty easily as they'll run towards the front of the doors. I'm not sure where factory rear speaker wires run, as my 244 doesn't have any.

Disclaimer: NO RESPONSIBILITY TAKEN - PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS AS GOSPEL, CHECK THEM WITH A MULTI-METER
I am fairly certain the colouring is as follows. This should at least give you a good starting point for testing
Red - Power antenna
Black - Ground
Green - Constant power
Black/Yellow - Accessory/Switched Power
Orange - Dash lights.
Speakers
Left + Blue/white
Left - Blue
Right + Blue/white
Right - White (perhaps your yellow wire is actually white)
