G'day,
A fairly new XC60, MY17, couple of month old, and the boot somehow got itself is locked - not reacting to any button presses, remote, or attempts to lift it manually. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Unlike in the US where there is a safety handle to open the boot from the inside, cannot find anything similar.

There will be a manual release of some sort, probably a plastic plug or cap somewhere in the lining, which you pop out, and insert a screwdriver and turn or similar to release the latch. It will be explained in the manual.
It would be best to take it somewhere with a suitable scan tool to see what data can be viewed, eg: fault codes, see what switch inputs it's seeing, whether the latch motor and lift motors are being commanded to operate when buttons are pressed etc.
