VolvoDeger yes just done a t6 six two weeks ago and another last week with one waiting to be done problem is always that the filter can't be serviced as the box needs to be split into two. This is where the filter is between the the two cases
Ex850R Please call. Voldat. You may have had the work done by VOLVPARTS I imagine. They are not the same place at all. I would get legal advice on that place.
Ghettobird It sure wasn't Voldat selling you the T6 Motor, we have never even wrecked and sold one of thoes generation of motors We don't deal in wrecking XC90s
VolvoDeger once done fit a external filter which helps, also I say to people if no external cooler fitted fit one because if radiator shits itself pumping coolant into auto you have no warranty....2 year warranty supplied on these auto rebuilds
Angus242164 In order to tackle these issues legally the customer needs to first go back to the business that did the defective work or supplied defective parts within the warranty period (for the parts) and within a reasonable time period (for the labour), to give them the opportunity to correct the issues. If they refuse at this point, or work on the car but fail to rectify the problems, you can take them to VCAT. If you take the car to another workshop to get the issues fixed, you won't be able to recover any costs from the first workshop, as you didn't give them a chance to rectify the problems. You have to be careful to follow correct procedure from start to finish or VCAT will have to rule in favor of the workshop. You may also need an independent automotive engineer to inspect the car and report on the issues, as evidence that the issues exist.
Philia_Bear VolvoDeger;93358 wrotewhy do you say they are dud turbo's? or is there another issue I think the origional workshop has said they are dead, weather they are dead or not is a totaly different question :-)
precopster George B transferred his goodwill to Geelong West Automotive @11 Autumn St Geelong West. Joe (the proprietor) trained with George B for 9 months and has picked up on most of the Volvo nuances while in his care. If you're in the Geelong area don't go anywhere else. A local workshop just down the road from Joe charged one of my customers $2,500 for 2 control arms, and an ECM reload to cure a throttle issue on a 2003 XC70. Needless to say the throttle issue returned until I sorted it out.
240Joe @precopster I took my V50 there last month for the first time and I was very happy! Unfortunately George doesn't work there anymore. Years ago I went to that place a couple of doors up and left saying I'd never return. I've since heard a lot about the owner including many nasty crimes which confirmed how I originally felt about the his character and workmanship.
precopster Well we don't need to crap on them any more here. Bad news spreads like wildfire. But just to seal the deal they have "European" in their company name :+1: -) .
