Perhaps we have different ideas. The original idea was to create our own Oz Volvo event and not tag along to somebody else's event.

The Melbourne and ACT Oz Volvo members have well-supported hangs which are Volvo-centric. If there's enough interest, it should be possible to do a Sydney hang for Volvo-ites.

Considering the crowd at Harry's on that night is likely to have a high concentration of yobs and cops, plus being primarily aimed at a demographic that isn't Volvo friendly, it's not something I'd been interested in attending; my preference would be a Oz Volvo hang on a different night, so it doesn't clash with that one.

I've seen the widest demographic possible at Harry's and there still seems to be a very cool vibe, but YMMV.
Cops don't seem to hassle anyone except the "P plater trying to do a burnout in his Charade" sort of character. Considering the amount of defect tickets they could write up, it would seem they turn a blind eye to nicely presented, big $$$ cars even if they have a blower poking up through the bonnet.
I've also found a distinct lack of people being unfriendly to makes/models they don't like. Even the VN commodore crowd with 22" rims don't get laughed at (to their face), so rocking up in a Volvo or group of Volvos would be fine.

I'd be keen to meet there, suss out what's there and then go hang out somewhere on our own. It's an easy place to kill time while waiting for our own.

Alternatively I'm also happy to skip Harry's altogether if that's what is preferred.

Decide on a day time and location. Make a new thread for it. Then take that thread and link it on I Roll and the Volvo Pages on Facebook. You'll get the large Western Sydney crowd who are on there but aren't checking the forums very often.

I'd love for there to be a regular Sydney meet, but I have enough on my plate without having to organise it.
