Will this vida system allow me to do funky things like make my side mirrors fold in when i lock the xc90 and fold out when starting the car up?
Where to buy a DICE/VIDA unit
It will let you do somethings but not thatbigal;90651 wroteWill this vida system allow me to do funky things like make my side mirrors fold in when i lock the xc90 and fold out when starting the car up?
doh! Would probably wear the mirror motors out if it did.
I could rig it up somehow if I were an auto electrical genuis.. But i'm not.
Can it do this cool one my audi does?..
Hold the unlock button on the remote and all the windows go down. Hold the lock button in and will close sunroof and all windows. Love that audi feature!

V70 T6 could be programmed to do that from VIDA so I suspect others can.
I haven't delved that far into it yet. Certainly no expert. I'll be having a look at some YouTube videos for a start point on some of the features and way to navigate!
my V50 does the windows from the remote. its a nice feature.

I'm guessing this laptop should be good for Vida? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOSHIBA-TECRA-LAPTOP-4GB-WINDOWS-7-PRO-125-/162631875432?hash=item25dd9d7b68:g:r7MAAOSw-iNZkjRU
Does it matter if it is 32 or 64 bit windows?
I've just placed a bid on it. Hopefully it is all good.
It's from Hoppers Crossing, so probably stolen :D

Been stuck on this screen for a while now. The disc keeps spinning up and back down again,
so something must be happening. Should I wait it out?
EDIT: FARK THIS IS TAKING AGES! Adobe just got added to the desktop.
WOOHOO. Finished. Computer restarting now.
I'm bound to have issues though, so we'll see how it goes.
EDIT: it no worky. Reverting back to IE8 to see if that is the issue.
EDIT: OK. That issue is fixed. Now it wants me to enter a username and password. This is a headfuck.
EDIT: BAH! Got it working. Read the instructions Gabriel!!!!
I had to install a patch.

If u try doing the auto adaptation and it doesn't seem to load, check that the "start adaptation button" window hasn't loaded up behind the current window.
Well I'm fucked if I can get this to work.
Dice unit passes all tests except for Vehicle interface. Just keeps flashing orange.
Dice diagnostics tells me it is not attached when it actually is.
Key is in position two.
Am I missing something?

Are you using the cable or bluetooth to connect to the dice?
Cable. The dice is connecting to Vida fine, it isn't connecting to the car. I cracked the shits and gave up.timbo;116879 wroteAre you using the cable or bluetooth to connect to the dice?
I'll have another look at it later tonight. If I can't work it out, it's going up for sale.
Go and have a look at the Microsoft .Net version. You need to make sure that it is version 1 or something like that I had similar issues with mine. It is to do with the later versions trying to use the same port as the Dice or something like that. At any rate I put it back to version 1 and it was fine. Do a good search and you should find some information about it all.

EDIT: I'm on version 3.5.3 now. I'll see how it goes tomorrow.
Hopefully it works. I have a funny feeling my FPS is starting to shit itself too. The car takes a while to turn over on some mornings and the battery is only a year old.
You need to install 4.0.0 then run vida and it should be good to go
