Hey Jimbo I've not had any luck with the fob is there any other way to find the FCC numbers?

If you have an after market alarm in there you need to swap out the starter relay.
I gather you have the central locking receiver.
If so ...then either the starter bypass relay or the basic alarm will work.

The fob in the picture looks like the alarm guard 2 unit. I think it may require a different relay

I have the fob you have pictured. I had an aftermarket central locking which I removed and installed Volvo 850 Security Theft Lock MODULE 850 Pn 3545654 oem. So I need to remove the Starter circuit (bottom right) what do I replace it with?

Does the dash Red LED work with the setup you currently have?

I don't think you need but replacing the starter circuit with the red alarm relay works for me.

The 2 button fobs are the same as mine

I don't have the red light on the top of the dash working .
The red light worked on the old aftermarket Australian module

Yes.

I would say you have the starter circuit in there.

Get the alarm relay VOLVO 9128903 and the 3545653 fob there are a few on eBay. It will then work
I purchase the fob that you posted on ebay. Will track down a relay now.
