C30 would be great but 2 door is a deal breaker.
That V50 looks good but I am concerned about diesel. Particularly the DPF, and I have read reports of general maintenance being pricier too.

DPF will be fine as long as there are regular higher speed or longer runs, not exclusively short trips. Maintenance may be a little more but the main thing is to use an independent.

Well that's what I'm worried about, as it may not get a long run frequently enough.
Plus I read that even a healthy DPF is only good for 75k or so.
So In this case I'm not convinced it's worth it for a couple of litres per 100.
For someone commuting along a highway each day it would be different of course!
With petrol models - is there reliability difference between 2.4i and T5?

2.4 would be regarded as the most reliable, not that T5 is bad though
