my Dmax does 8.7l/100km weighing in at 2450kg, city driving. freeway driving sees no benefit because its shape and lift and gearing. I forget what it was towing my mates Crown back from Orange but it didn't seem to go up too crazy.

I assume thats with boxes and gear in the back, as the base weight is around 1700kg

Is the Dmax diesel the same as the Cruze diesel?

Base weight is 1915kg. Tools, rear bar, side steps/sliders, HD suspension, battery: all adds up

The colarado motor is related to the cruze and captiva motor, the dmax is an isuzu motor. Holden last used it in 2012.

Forgot the oil change and its now a bit low on oil

so got the low oil light again and started looking into it
seals on the ball bearing turbo have gone (not uncommon at 250,000KM)

Spools fine... just dumping oil into the intake (prob exhaust too... but hard to tell)

The front crank is also bad (out of balance)

pulled the intake off and found its full of oil and crap and just ewww... also its been spraying stuff all over the pass side of the engine and its covered in a nice oil bath

Starting to think about if I should dump it or fix everything with it and rock it another 5 years
needs about 10k in investment
I'm best off doing a ground up clean up on the motor and having the trans rebuilt
Would swap in a DPF delete and hybrid turbo and tune all at the same time to bring it up to 240ish KW
I'd also like to upgrade the idrive system to the current NBT EVO system
also love to add in the radar cruise system (easy to retrofit if you find the parts)

Started looking at parts and talking to a guy in Lithuania that i have used in the past

Need to wait a few weeks until i have money but then should be good to start on a few things

The chasis is so dam good that i keep being drawn back to the car every time i try to escape it...

I had 365,000km on my e30, you have to beat that at a minimum
