@paul0075 - do you mean Euro suppliers as in here in Australia, or actually in Europe? You have a 144, which is the body style (but in a 240) I'd like to go back to one day. So where do you find has most of your parts?
I go to CVI or Skandix for my parts from Europe. There are others but I've yet to need to try them. That said, CVI has fluffed a couple of my orders. Both companies do new genuine and reproduction parts.
Locally, I generally buy from Volvo 1800-120 parts. Especially when it is time critical or when the exchange rate suggests buying locally is cheaper. George also supplied my genuine RHD brand new dash top. Last one in the world too, after he got the last of the RHD ones from the Volvo warehouse sometime ago. But George also comes up with the goods for hard to get second hand parts that are in good condition.
For second hand parts, there's a nice little network of 140 and 240 guys here in the Canberra area, who I really value not just for the car stuff but for their friendship too. When I need to go to a wrecker, my usual is Pick-A-Part in Dapto, NSW. They very occasionally have a 140 in there. I found out recently the owner is a Volvo collector too. I also find the I Roll group on Facebook and OzVolvo the other 2 sources I get most of my parts from.
In terms of auction sites, eBay has really gone to crap the last couple of years for stuff specifically for 140s. But still good for brand new service parts or things like VDO gauges etc. Gumtree occasionally comes up with the goods, like my R-Sport cluster for $200 (needs work, but hey, the price was good!). But by far the winner for getting hard to find stuff has been Tradera, eBay's Swedish auction site. There's a lot of people who don't send outside Scandinavia, but I have found there's a wrecker in Ljusdal who sends internationally and has a lot of old switches and trims for 140, 164, 240 and 360.
I do find the reproduction parts are not as good as the originals, and I have gone to lengths to repair or restore the part from the car after finding the reproduction part less than optimal. I've also ended up using 240 parts, which in the case of my 1974 144, tend to fit as well, and still look the part (mostly).
