Selling all the parts for a T5 Transmission Conversion in a Volvo 240/740/940.
Just moving on with other things...finally.
Tremec T5 2.95 Super Heavy Duty Z Spec Transmission.
Fitted with Deeworks Volvo Adaptor Plate and B230 Bellhousing.
Unused.
Selling for $2000.
10 spline input shaft.
1st gear 2.95 5th gear 0.73.( much better for a 4 cylinder car than the standard 0.65)
T5 was specially made for me by an experienced T5 rebuilder in the US called Earl Johnson(
hjhnracing@msn.com) . He trades on ebay as lpgturbo and has 100% rating for 100s of T5s. Rebuilding them for over 12 years.
It cost me over Aus$2000 just for the box( not including the Deeworks adaptor and bellhousing)
You will not be able to match this price with any builder/ vendor in Australia. I know because I researched every single one. The cheapest and most reliable was Mal Wood who quoted $2700 almost 2 years ago.

I know what it can be like on here...No doubt some of you know someone who can build one for 50 bucks in 2 hours whilst standing on one leg, blindfolded and balancing a plate on his head singing Waltzing Matilda. Thats fine. He can build it for you. And if you want to pay scrapyard prices, go to a scrapyard.
C' mon guys..if you want Volvos to be taken seriously as a classic then start valuing them seriously!
Ive done the hard work..importing all this stuff from abroad etc..waiting weeks, getting screwed with FX rate, dealing with customs, etc etc..
My choice.
But its here in Melbourne waiting to be used.
My 16 V engine has been sold- deposit put down, so the rest HAS to go.
A very cool T3 stainless steel turbo manifold for a 16v conversion (from KL Racing in Sweden) is waiting here too..its up on gumtree as are some LS2 ignition coils.
