lasercowboy I didn't think that these were ever sold over here as V90/S90s, and you got 960s all the way through? Could be a personal import I guess, or I'll be corrected :D But yes, 3L straight 6 - lovely engine! EDIT: according to t'internet, S90/V90 names were used in Oz from March 1997, and production of the 9-series stopped in Feb 1998 - anyone know how many are over here?
ingabinga Philia Bear, Are you serious about buying this car tomorrow? If so tread carefully and use an extra high degree of diligence. I went to this guys house last month (where he works from buying and flipping cars) He had a Mercedes ML270 with rego rwc and low klms, sounded fantastic, I got to his place and it was decrepit, broken bumpers etc,(which he forgot to tell me about) I thought since I had taken the trouble to drive over I would let him pull it out of his garage where he had put it so you would not know the sunroof leaked. It started blew some blue smoke and idled roughly and noisily. More like an engine that had been abused for 300K plus klms than the 130K advertised. I walked around it confirmed that it was in fact a high kays vehicle with a dodgy odometer and left pretty quickly. This Volvo may be okay, but I would not put any value on his RWC etc.
lasercowboy In any case, this will be one of the last RWD volvos in Oz - still an interesting car, especially as it's a wagon. Here's hoping it's still in decent nick and there are no skeletons in its closet - good luck Mike!
