this baby has got a slightly higher tuned version of the 2.1 litre 4 cylinder engine, 2 extra headlights and orange stripes on the seats
And all that for about the price (new) of a house in the suburbs
34 years later its easy to see where the money went. These are well built cars and this one still drives beautifully
That is the last time Ill use the word beautiful in this ad so I cant be slammed for misrepresenting the facts
The styling of the 200 series Volvos is something that is still yet to fully be appreciated by people of style and taste, but I tell you their time is coming, and when it does, and the whole world is scouring barns for lost examples (like Shelby Cobras and Ferrari 250s) then you'll be laughing behind your dark tinted windows in your silver packing crate on your orange stripe as the rest of the world looks on jealously
In the cool quiet none-blacker interior of this particular 242GT there is plenty of time to contemplate these sort of scenarios. As I was wafting along in 45 degrees yesterday on my way down to pick up some parts for one of my less reliable cars, I was only concerned with how cold the air conditioner was making things and if, as a Volvo driver, I should bother using my indicators ever?

The overdrive 4 speed gives fantastic cruising economy (about 8.5L/100km).
Since I've done the cylinder head up, no other fluids are consumed abnormally
The boot couldn't be pictured as I don't have a wide enough lens but the cavernous space is in great condition
I fitted the towbar even though its perfectly possible to park one of these machines by ear without sustaining any damage (to yours)
Everything works on this car except the cruise control which is possessed and should not be spoken of
When I got this car nothing behind the dash worked so I stripped it to the firewall (twice) and fixed everything including the rattles
Tyres are excellent, 3 months rego and 3/4 of a tank of fuel, ready for a road trip to anywhere
Power steering works well and sings softly to you to let you when cold know its helping out
The interior is in great condition thanks to it being looked after and the extensive inventory of 200s maintained by U-Pull-It
In fact one of the great things about owning this car is the vast quantity of donors in wrecking yards and even your neighbours probably have one or two
All in all I'm sure you'll agree that you probably cant afford not to buy this car and that I am being more that generous offering it to market
