85-260GLE Or get rid of the V6 LOL That seems to be a re-occurring call from all that have had them cross their paths!
Major Ledfoot 85-260GLE;78305 wroteApparently there are only 761 1985 260 GLE wagons made that year! That's a global figure too. Which makes it very rare.
85-260GLE Need to get the V6 running better - it runs like it has Parkinsons on idle (up to around 1500rpm) then it is silky smooth! Apparently I need one Injector seal -Could that be a part of the problem? Starting to compile a list of all the tiny little bits and pieces I need (trim clips etc) to bring it back up to where it needs to be - A sure sign I have fallen for it and it will stay for a while. I don't know what it is - but there is something about driving this car - I didn't want to like it when I bought it - but even with the problems I have with it - it is great LOL - Becoming a Bloody Volvo Driver LOL
gavinh That's Volvo's, when running well they just glide, ironically enough the reputation of Volvo driver are slow and uncourteous, which is any thing but. generally most car on this website are modded in some form or another and you can drive them hard and very rare have problems if there maintained to a standard. Parts aren't that expencive if you know where to shop and the network of follower on this site and others are more than helpful. I had a 1989 V6 760 in the uk years ago, it was probably one of the best stock Volvo's I had. And gave a few cars a run for the money and it only cost $140. But again it was maintained.
85-260GLE Well have been getting the V6 running right (better) and tidying up quite a few little tasks to get it reliable and presentable - it has come a long way since I picked it up ............. looking a little better now
