Let me know if you want to revert to OEM as I have a pack of OEM control arm bushings in the shed.

The whole poly/oem (response/comfort) is highly subjective. I put poly bushes on my wife's Subaru Outback, and I think they are great, but reading on the Subaru forums it seems like everyone else hates them. I also believe not all poly is the same...

It also varies on different cars too. The way that whatever mounts via that bush moves; does it push/pull, move up/down or rotate, etc are all factors. On top of that, complianice is also a factor - will there be an increase in nvh? Is it a tangible/measurable increase? Do you care?
These are all factors in whether it's a good thing or a bad thing.
Different manufacturers too use different materials as mentioned above.

I figured I have the poly bushings in hand already, let's chuck them in and see how it drives. If it's too much I'll go back to OEM.
Also when we pressed out the old bushings, holy HELL was it difficult. Two of them actually took slivers of aluminium with them and we then had to get the die grinder out to smooth out the burrs. Luckily it wasn't too much and the fit on the new bushings is still nice and snug.

If your old ones were worn out, any new bushing will be a big improvement.
Just a case of see how you like the result.

My old ones were fine - what I thought was bung bushings was actually bung control arm ball joint!
I'm going to fit them tonight and take it out for a spin.

Well, you're replacing 'old n busted' with 'new n shiny' so it's bound to be an improvement!
