Nice work! Keen to see how the polishing goes. Meguiars Scratch X is pretty good. Most likely wont help with those deeper scratches and pits though but it may disguise them a bit more.

I'm a fan of that natural worn with high gloss look. Bit cheaper too.
jamesinc;77908 wrote@Jaz can I use a photo of your 240 for the Oz Volvo Facebook page?
Go for it mate.
Yeah mate works at a panel shop and the detailer there is pretty good at what he does, the $300 is plus beer though haha

@bigal yeah it looks fine into up real close so I might just finish what I'm doing then go from there!

It polished up really nice, like its mint now.
I have a $15,000 kingswood parked outside in the weather and I've got this junk in the garage and have spent more time than I care polishing and cleaning it haha
Looks new! Nice work. How many hours or day's worth of effort?

I'd say there is probably about 9 hours in it, took a while to cut, polish and wax haha

Thanks @Ex850R

I know, only a 1 1/2 car garage under the house, trying to convince the Mrs that I need to dig it out but she doesn't understand

Did about 80 km in it yesterday and another 30 today, seems pretty good, need to make the overdrive work, 3k rpm at 100 is balls.

Dropped it off for my brother to use tonight, his car got stolen today (recovered in good nick) so using this for a bit

Will almost certainly be the relay behind the dash....
Looks great, love this colour on a 240.

volvodriverman;78219 wroteOr broken wires
I'll have to check the relay, the wires looked good when I had the box out but I'll re check.

Also worth checking the inhibitors switch on 4 gear it makes the ground circuit for the relay? It has a single wire going to it. It's on the drivers side on the top of the gear box. Accessible with a deep 22mm socket. If everything checks out fine it could be that. Just found out that was faulty on mine, it switches to ground when you put it in 4 gear to activate od and when you change to 3rd it brakes the ground connection.
Looks great! +1 for ghetto turbo setup...
23 days later
New second hand mounts in, no idea if its better but the motor sits where it should
Nice work area. Got a man cave under the house? I see a tv.

Yeah mate behind the sliding door is a rumpus room with projector and couches etc.
Garage is about a 1 1/2 car, enough space for what I do! Fridge, toilet, work benches etc.

Going to dig right out under the house soon do I can get more stuff in there!
