wtf is this turquoise wire and where does it belong...
Looking at Clyde's (74 142) wiring loom in the same place this afternoon, there is a wire of the same colour which loops around and has a splice, then reaches down to the brake light switch.
A few questions for you (see pic):
1. Does the wire [1] of the same colour go to terminal [8] of that round plug that connects to the instrument cluster?
73 wiring for ROUND plug is -
1 = spare warning light => no connection
2 = spare warning light => no connection
3 = high beam => white/red
4 = No connection
5 = brake warning contact => grey
6 = Indicator (Left) => Blue
7 = Indicator C wire => Blue / red
8 = indicator right => green
9 = charge light (AMP) => RED
10 = temp gauge => brown
11 = oil pressure switch => Black
12 = overdrive warning lamp => Yellow
2. Does the wire at [2] briefly poke out of the loom and them loop back into it?

3. Is there a wire of the same colour connected to the direction indicator switch? If not, it may have broken off or been cut.
4. This wire hasn't been cut, right?
