I liked the Maxxis that we had on the 850, but didn't have the car long enough to make any judgement on the longevity.
Personally I'd prefer one that has good water dispersion; although it doesn't rain as frequently as it did in the UK, when it does rain the water tends to sit on the surface of the road as the tarmac is a much smoother surface.
Even on the BMW in the UK we noticed the difference between the Bridgestone Turanza's that were on there in the summer and the Marix Glacials that were on in the winter when it rained; the Glacials were much more sure footed in the rain/wet roads.
