Alright, first teething issue. I initially thought the downpipe was hitting the steering column under hard acceleration / full boost as I was getting a touch of vibration. However (and looking at the photos above you can see evidence of this), it is actually the charge air pipe hitting the bonnet. Not the end of the world, this pipe was remade from a damaged original so obviously the dimensions are slightly off. I didn't have the advantage of engine-in-car when it was made.
The fabrication was done by Grim Performance up in Hornsby so I'm going to head over and see Dennis on Monday and get him to sort me out, it may look tight in photos but there is plenty of space to play with, we only need to drop the highest point maybe 5mm. I think what will end up happening is that the pipe over the top of the valve cover will end up sitting more level with the ground, which will probably look nicer too, and it will also add a little bit more space for the throttle cable to pass under - right now it rubs a bit on the pipe.
