2004 V70 R Throttle Clean

Hi all,

Just after some clarification

Do I need to have a software update from dealer after removal and cleaning of throttle body?

If its never had the software update done, a service 2.0 is always advisable to get a full software update from a volvo dealer

In your case, no specific update is required... BUT...
You do need to plug in vida and run a calibration after cleaning the throttle body, any of the ebay dice units with vida can do this and nearly everything else

Actually had the car at a dealer last week and asked for a software update. None available??.

Will look at VIDA and try and find where to calibrate.

My understanding is that all you need to do is turn the key to position 2 and wait. (30-60 seconds)
You should hear the tb sweep through it's movement.
Then turn off and start her up.
