Not really a showroom worthy topic, but this seemed like the best place to put it....
I put a deposit on this many months ago. For a variety of reasons, it only made it back here on Sunday.
The deal was that it was a running manual T5 that had taken a hit the the driver's side rear door/quarter panel. The price was right, and I figured that it was worth it for the manual conversion parts if/when our T5 wagon's auto dropped its load.
Now that it's here, I'm not sure whether I am happy to wreck it, or want to fix it...
If I do fix it, it will be on the cheap. A panel beater mate has said that he could bash and bog it to a decent (not great) standard for not too much money. One of the blokes at work is happy to squirt some paint onto it - including the replacement door & fixing the crappy bonnet paint, I reckon the total repair cost would be under $1200...
